1 Peter 5:8-9
- Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. 9 [a]So resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same experiences of suffering are being accomplished by your [b]brothers and sisters who are in the world. (NASV)
- Keep awake! Watch at all times. The devil is working against you. He is walking around like a hungry lion with his mouth open. He is looking for someone to eat. 9 Stand against him and be strong in your faith. Remember, other Christians over all the world are suffering the same as you are. (New Life Version)
- Be Sober, be Vigilant; Because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, Seeking whom he may devour. 9 Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world. (NKJV)
- Who the Devil Is.
- We know He is a fallen High Ranking Angel. He was a Cherub; A Son of the Morning. He became Satan because of his fall. And what makes him to fall is Pride.
- (Isaiah 14:12-15; Ezekiel 28:12-17).
- His name Satan, means the adversary, or the accuser.
- He is a fallen Angel with others ; Condemned by God, There is no redemption for him and his angels; They purposed to be enemy of God and enemy of Humanity; Man is a terrible offence for the Devil; They fight to make sure the creation of God will fall and be condemned like them;
- The Queen of the Coast: We will not go in that Lake of Fire alone; All the creation of God will come along with Us;
- He is Your adversary.
- He was defeated by Jesus on the cross – who took from Him the Keys of Death and of Hell; The Cross represents the Victory of God and of Humanity;
- Mathieu 28: 18-19 Jesus said: All power and authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth; Go therefore and make the all nations disciples;
- But the Devil even defeated is still dangerous; He uses the weapon of deception; Deceiving them that live carelessly. Revelation 12:9.
- Many people take the Devil strategy lightly, because they have not study him and understand him.
- Many think just because Christ is in their life; they have believed in Jesus; they have already won the Battle against the Devil. That is a terrible mistake by which we are learning many were deceived and found themselves in hell;
- The thing that will remove that Victory of Christ for a Believer is when He/She lives in Sin; or disobey God!
- The Devil DO NOT want to let anyone to enter Heaven … He will fight us until the end… We get to the GATE of Eternal City!!!
- When Satan tempted Jesus on earth; the Bible says He tempted him in all manners but he failed then He left Jesus for a while;
- He went away waiting for the next opportunity! But Jesus was in alert until the end; He was able to recognize the Devil through Peter;
- He recognized the Devil speaking even on the Cross;
- His Highest purpose is to oppose God’s Plans on earth.
- God wants men to be saved and to come to the Knowledge of the truth.
- He does Not know everything God is doing; But He can sense the purpose and destiny. He made a king kill all the new born children to prevent the king/who was to be born;
- The Devil will make sure men keep to be ignorant, die in ignorance and Go to Eternal Fire;
- Certainly the Will of God is for all men to be saved and to know the Truth.
- The TRUTH IS Men are separated from God; They Need to come to God by JC to be saved;
- He has worked hard to corrupt the Gospel so that those who believe in it will not even be saved;
- His Medium/Middle purpose is to make sure Believers live in Sin
- make sure Men or Believers will Sin, consciously or unconsciously so that even when they serve God, they will not be acceptable by God in the day of Judgement;
- Many Christians do not know they are weighted everyday in the spiritual realms.
- It is not Big sins men do that will take them to hell, but very small sins that they will neglect to confess or renounce.
- God has done high favor to men of our generation, he took many believers and unbelievers, take them to hell and heaven, show them the Kingdom of the Devil and the Kingdom of God so they come back to testify to us.
- We can know how the Devil is tempting Men. We can know what is pleasing God and what is not pleasing Him;
- His lowest purpose is to make sure Ignorant people remain ignorant
- those who are ignorant of God, will remain in ignorance by religion, false doctrines, sciences, occultisms, witchcraft, Maggie, Buddhism; Hinduism; atheists and all kind of religions.
- Those who are in such categories, the Devil makes sure they stay in ignorance until death. To ensure that He will fight all Christians who are taking risk to go and evangelize such people.
- He has made some believe that Evangelism is only when God sent you; or when He gave you specific direction.
- THE NATURE OF THE DEVIL DEFINE ALSO IS CHARACTER
- THE ENEMY; THE OPPONENT; THE FOE;
- THE DIABOLOS (Greek) == Something wicked, Sinister;
- DIABOLOS Means Accuser; A Slanderer ;
- We should all strive to escape the Devil at all costs;
- We must make sure we Do all that We can to not be in a company of the Devil;
- To Overcome The Devil we Must have FULL Jesus with US : The Dream God gave me some weeks ago;
- To Overcome The Devil
- One must always Pray!
- One Must avoid Sin at any Cost;
- One MUST UNDERSTAND HIS PURPOSE;
- Many Think the Devil is the One preventing them to have the Blessing from God;
- Many Think The Devil does not want them to succeed in this Life;
- Many think The Devil is the One who does not want them to grow in Christ etc…
- PURPOSE: HE DO not want you to be SAVED!! HE Does not want you to go with Christ when He comes to Take his Church
- The Ways to escape The Devil
- BE SOBER: (Not Drink) Spiritually it means to have good sense, good judgement, wisdom, and level-headed in times of stress.
- BE VIGILANT: “Take heed to yourselves.” Pay attention! Take care. Guard yourself. Watch out. We cannot just skip our way into the Kingdom of God. It will take a great deal of effort.
- Luke 21:36 Jesus said, Take heed to yourselves…
- RESIST HIM STEADFAST IN YOUR FAITH. Meaning always examine Yourself; Check yourself Daily If you are still in Faith. Many have went away from Faith But they do not realise it. They still think they are in Faith.
- Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you” (James 4:7).
